Our Story & Vision

When Scott Sprick bought Bosch’s from partner and company founder Barry Bosch in 2004, he had already been working with Barry for 14 years designing and installing hardscapes and plantings in the West Michigan region. Russ Hillman joined him as partner two years later in 2006, after having managed his own landscaping business for several years. They are experienced and knowledgeable landscape designers who want to be your one choice for every phase of your project.

Our Goals

Scott and Russ both love working with clients to translate their ideas and dreams into the beautiful outdoor places where they live and play. That means neither of them sits around the office much. They prefer to be outside, scoping out and analyzing your site, finding out what you like and don’t like, and offering expert opinions about materials for man-made features, plant choice, location of shade trees for more efficient heating and cooling of your home, and more.

Like others, Scott and Russ have become more aware and concerned in recent years about how our landscaping practices affect the larger West Michigan environment. We are moving in the direction of more sustainable best practices, like designing custom blends of fertilizer with just the right amounts of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium for your soil, and providing organic or lake-friendly fertilizers.

When we aren’t working, you can find Scott enjoying time with his wife and three daughters, and following professional baseball (he played in the Baltimore Orioles farm system in the 1990s). Russ enjoys all outdoor activities (fishing, boating, and sports) and spending time with his family. He and his wife also have three daughters.

Our Services

Because we are well versed in all aspects of landscape management, we really can be your one-stop landscaping source. We design, install, and maintain man-made landscaping, trees and shrubs, lawns, and planting beds. We can do cement work and lawn care during the warmer months, and pruning and snow removal during the winter, including de-icing parking lots or sidewalks (using rock salt or other alternatives that are less harmful to the land and water). We offer everything you need to keep your landscaping safe and beautiful.
