If you live in the Holland area, you likely know all about Cap’n Sundae, but have you visited their north side location recently? The popular ice cream shop now sports an 18-hole miniature golf course that tells the story of Captain Burke and the fate of his treasure.

Bosch’s Landscaping is proud to have been part of this Cap’n Sundae project, and has a story of its own to tell! With any renovations and additions, it is always a challenge to blend in new features with the existing ones. That’s where a great landscaping job can make all the difference.

Our teams focused mainly on the stone work and plantings that would blend the old and new together and make the environment aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. A variety of appropriate trees were strategically planted, along with many bushes, perennials, and groundcovers, both on the course and around the rest of the seating area and approach to the store. As a finishing touch, we filled in landscaped areas with an attractive bark mulch.

As you can see, with all the teams working together, a lot of planning and oversight was needed to make everything come together. The owners had a dream for something more than just a place to get an ice cream cone—and now it’s a reality! That’s what we love doing best—helping people realize their dreams for their property.
