Fall Clean-Up and Pruning

Enjoying the autumn weather? We are! It’s a beautiful time in Michigan, with all the vibrant colors and cool-but-not-cold temperatures perfect for running with the kids or sitting around the fire pit.

It’s also the perfect time to prune the trees, shrubs, and hedges around your home or business. Late October through early December is the prime time—before the heavy snow hits, but after the leaves start falling. That way, it’s easy for us to identify damaged or diseased branches, see the overall structure of the tree, and prune appropriately. Pruning in the fall helps make sure trees roar back healthy and beautiful in spring while remaining strong and sturdy against high winds and winter storm damage. Trimming flowering shrubs during the dormant season also helps encourage springtime blooming.
